The Able Hearing, Beaverton office, provided the hearing test, adjusted the aids, then helped to secure new rechargeable batteries free from OTICON, and installed them. Professional, efficient, pocketbook friendly - I found my go-to Hearing Aid health care center.

Jay Meredith2020-04-27I came to Abel Hearing because they were the only Hearing Aid provider acceptable to United Health Care, my Medicare Advantage Plan provider. That said, Abel Hearing has been an excellent company to work with, spending several hours over 3+ visits to help me determine what was the best product for me and to customize my hearing aid solution to my hearing and communication needs. I chose a rechargable, programmable Unitron receiver-in-the-ear device that supports 3 different hearing programs and connects to my mobile phone via bluetooth. The staff at Able Hearing let me take the demo devices home for several weeks to test various configurations under real conditions until I was satisfied. “Came in for a free hearing exam, wound up not needing any additional follow up.
The facility was nice and clean, the staff were friendly, professional, and very informative. The exam itself was very comprehensive.
Before we started the test I got a brief spiel about how hearing aids work, the varieties and programs they had to offer, and their price points. There was no pressure or sales pitch at all, I just got the impression that they were giving me the info ahead of time so if I did need a hearing aid it wouldn’t be too much info all at once.

Even though we were not going to buy another set from Able Hearing since we don’t live in the area, they gave us their full attention and assistance. The hearing aid manufacturer warranty had run out (2.5 years), but Able Hearing adds an additional 6 months of its own at no extra cost. She fell within the six months, so they took good care of us. They treated us well despite the fact that we would not be a future sell — it was the type of ethical behavior that is often lacking today.”
